Consultation Fee for Cosmetic Surgery

A one-off fee of £180 is charged for your initial consultation - which will last for an hour. If we need more time to properly discuss your treatment, I will schedule you a further appointment(s) free of charge - what is important to me is that you fully understand your treatment before we embark on it, so I will schedule you enough time to achieve that level of understanding. On occasions I may even suggest you see other surgeons for comparison if you would like to and then return for a further consultation if you would like to. No charge is made for post operative follow-up consultations.

Should your examination reveal medical conditions that necessitate pre-operative investigations, these will be charged at cost.

Cosmetic Treatment Guide Prices

I believe fee schedules should be transparent to my patients and colleagues. Below, for your convenience, is a list that serves as a guide. The guide price includes my fees and those of the anaesthetist and the hospital. For a given procedure, or combination of procedures, you will be quoted a fixed-price package after your consultation is complete.

The fixed-price package will vary according to the facility in which you choose to have your operation, whether or not you choose to have multiple procedures (when fees decrease) and whether your condition is especially out of the ordinary – which is why these are “guide prices”. This package comprises the fees for Mr Greenbaum, your Consultant Anaesthetist and your hospital treatment. The hospital fee is a fixed price for the length of stay proposed and is usually paid directly to the hospital before admission, although occasionally, with enough notice, we can collect everything from you and pay the hospital on your behalf. The hospital will make an extra charge for any medicines they dispense for you to take home, and likewise for dressings or any extra investigations that you may have required. The surgical and anaesthetic fees are payable ten days in advance of cosmetic surgery and these fees will include postoperative care and any follow-up consultations.

Reconstructive Surgery

Reconstructive Surgery is generally covered by health insurance. Patients should ensure that they are referred for treatment by their GP and that their health insurance company has agreed to treatment. I charge within the limits of the major insurance companies. It is your responsibility to ensure that your policy will cover the cost of the proposed procedure; thereafter treatment fees will be charged directly to the insurer if you so wish, or can be settled directly.
